Sleepless in Seattle conversation

Let me preface this by saying yes i was on painkillers at the time..

Last night had a dream where Lisa and I had a nice long chat like we use to. I wonder if it was real do angels come and chat in your dreams.

Dreams can be an interesting mix of reality and non-reality. And even in dreamland, we can often tell that something isn't quite right.

Both of my deceased parents appear in my dreams, and both have been gone for years. My dad passed away in '78, my mom in '94. Both appear in dreams from time to time. Even in dreamland I know the truth, but they seem so real. So, I just kind of accept it as a gift.

Other times I get a mix of people who were known to me, but never knew each other, and they appear in the same dream. Some of them I've not seen for 20+ years.

I've had that happen with my mother and brother. Sometimes it's just a conversation. Sometimes it's some advice regrading something that is happening in my life. Other times it's just a little comfort. The most unusual conversations are often to clarify something from the past that never bothered me but was left unanswered or unresolved.
After each episode the conversation seemed real and always took place in familiar surroundings. I don't know what it is.. something Freud might have had a field day with maybe but I take them seriously simply because the encounter is personal.
