Thanks for all the help guys! I ended up getting a new 5' axle I am saving the 4' axle for my boys tear! :thumbsup: Going to start welding him up a frame any day now!

A little late on this one, But you did the right thing by getting another axle. Being a welder and fabricator most of my life I can tell you that had you used that axle it would have broke where the solid ends and the tube begins. Welding 2 different materials together in a flexing situation is never a good thing, the weaker material will almost always give away after so much fatigue is Worked into it.
