I am still plugging along :hammer: .

Ran into some setbacks - $> - that was unexpected but I should have it ready to stay in for Columbus weekend if not sooner.
All the electric is run and is working fine, ac and dc. Battery is charging fine via the converter.

I am in the process of constructing the bunk beds and a futon style bed for my wife and myself. I will post pics as soon as I get my butt out there with the camera. The front kitchen area may take a little longer though. Depends on the dough!

Keep the pics coming! It's looking good!

Here are some updated pics of our CT in progress.[img
Image

This pic is with our full size bed opened up. I am hoping my wife will make a cover for the futon mattress. Pink, ugh!

This pic is from the rear.
To remove the bunks, I pull a few carriage bolts and a couple of screws and the plywood, framework and ends pop right out. This way we can use the trailer to hall stuff if need be.

Regarding your can we go camping yet question in your signature. Looks like camping time to me. The experience just might motivate the wife to do something about the pink futton/matress cover to boot!

Looks like a very nice solution indeed.

Looks great, Chris!

Keep plugging away and it will all be done sooner than you know! You've got the basics, so I think a camping trip is in order soon.

This is a picture of our CT on its maiden voyage to Monguap State Campground in Sullivan County, New York. :beautiful:

Image

This picture was taken right in back of our campsite. My one son was down fishing every day. It doesn't look it but the temperature was 32 degrees when I took this picture in the a.m.

Image

I had to take this picture. It is ice that formed on the side of our trailer on Columbus day morning. I checked the thermometer in our truck and it read 26 degrees. My son was fishing that morning and was complaining about the ice build up in his guides. He finally gave up and came back to thaw his fishing rod and self out. :snow

Built and installed a table. It folds down against the wall.

Image

Got some cabinets built and hung over the countertop. Also installed a small sink, just need to figure out the plumbing.

Image

Also built a camp kitchen table. It is 2 ft. wide by 8 ft. long and hinges at 4 ft. Has plenty of room for our 30" stove top and a double basin sink. Had to use our old plastic basins in the sink because I forgot the bucket that goes under the drain! DUH! :?

All in all it was a good trip.

Sure is amazing how the 7' wide doesn't really look any larger on the outside , but seems to add a Lot of space and possibilities to the inside ... Very Cool !!!

7-wide is a bit of a misnomer. The width of the body is determined by the 8 ft. 6 in. maximum legal width between the outer faces of the tires. My trailer is 8 ft. 6 in. wide at the outside of the tires, so inside the tires, the box is only 6 ft. 7 inches outside and 6 ft. 4 1/2 in. on the inside.

My buddy Guy's 12 ft. teardrop is 6 ft. 6 in. wide on the outside of the body, but his tires are inboard in wheel wells. Wish mine were! Then the trailer would track in the path of the tow vehicle without me having to worry about keeping the trailer within the lines on narrow, mountain roads, from scraping oncoming RVs or big trucks, or from falling off the shoulder.

I thought my 7x16 was 7ft wide on the inside but it's 6.1/2,
I had mine built 12 inches taller so my golf cart would go in, with a ramp door it's also 6inches lower for the spring assist across the top.
so my rear door opening is 6.1/2 tall x 6ft wide

Hello all,

It has been years since I have been on the site. Life has just been busy. Hope to visit more often. Still using the trailer. Just got back from the ADK's with it and still going strong. Will try to post some pics.
