Too much time on your hands...

That's the only real negative comment I heard when building my Weekender.

So, I thought this might be fun. What have you seen that made you think, "Somebody has too much time on their hands"?

Here's my first nominee

No one has too much time on their hands! We can elect to sit around and watch the tube while throwing down a few too many, thereby shortening our lives, and feeling guilty about it later. Yes, I have heard that comment from some uncomplimentary onlookers, and I usually respond with the above statement.

I have always thought, that if you think you can do it, you probably can, so I often ultimately try to do it. If that means I have too much time on my hands because I prefer to be productive........shame on them.

When I look around and see perfectly healthy folks, just lazing away their time and not accomplishing anything, I know I am on the right track, and don't plan to change. Sorry about the rant, but the 'too much time' comments, just don't fit teardroppers or tiny trailer enthusiasts. Hey, we're a happy, enthusiastic, friendly bunch!

Roly, I do believe you missed the point of this thread. ;)

I thought this might be fun. What have you seen that made you think, "Somebody has too much time on their hands"?

Oops, that's what happens, Gage, when you go to the computer and you are sleepy and should really go to bed. Sorry about that.

Maybe not only too much time, but more money than they know what to do with and/or should have.

It looks like they had too much time on their hands in the 50's as well . Or far too many flies . This is from a 1951 Popular Mechanics magazine . What surprised me was that it holds 5 fly swatters so the whole family can go on the hunt . Can you imagine the high spot in the days entertainment being the afternoon fly hunt . ..... D.J.
