This site is great for info and ideas. I live on Drummond Island about as far north as you can go before it becomes the St. Marys river. I'm downsizing from a self contained Jayco to a teardrop. Simple just sounds more appealing at this point in life!

Welcome to the playground.

We've been up to Sault Ste. Marie, Whitefish Point and Tahquamenon Falls. On the western end we visited the Keweenaw Peninsula in the fall. Never been to Drummond Island. Anything exciting there?

I don't know if "exciting" would describe it--like most U.P. towns it's pretty laid back while catering to most outdoor types. Lots of beautiful trails and critters with excellent views of the freighters. I would describe it as peaceful although the abundance of deer, eagles etc. can be pretty exciting. Hoping to catch the northern lights tonite!
