Great exchange above! As I like to say, I can go to bed now cuz I learned something today! ;-0 I loves my Science too, but here's some Real World info I found invaluable:

Most all this has been figured out already. I've posted off grid Refrigerator info from stick-built Houses before - Models and amperage draw and Battery and PV Panel info - so that topical area is one place to start surfing online.

I designed aspects of our super-insulated Solar Home using info gotten from 'Home Power Magazine' back when everything was online and free. They combine theory and hard data with detailed 'how to' info with drawings and schematics.

A Real World experiment might be to run a stocked Fridge of choice off a Battery temporarily in a warm Garage or Trailer and see how many hours it operates before reaching 50% Battery drawdown. Then, decisions like installing a 2nd Battery, or the wattage/number of PV Panels desired, can be based on this empirical data.

Thanks for the input, kinda figured on doing some testing once I get started, wouldnt mind going propane but am going to be living in mexico beaches so not sure on availability, but will do some reasearch. thanks again.
