Ummm, well, as you can see I was still working on it. But it's done (for) now. My Etsy work was put off, waiting on further info from my customer. Em cooked dinner, and I did dishes. There was a bunch more I wanted to do, but nothing terribly urgent.

Johnny facebooked me. I was notified in an email. He wrote on my wall, so I wrote back then logged out.

Chris.. if you don't "like" our sweats.. you really won't like what we have coming up.

Glenn, the sweats you participate in are almost ridiculous. I don't understand why someone wouldn't think of replenishing fluids that their body definately needs during that time. But, whatever. Keep complaining about how bad you feel and what little sleep you're getting 'cause your body's crying for hydration.

I'm finished trying to act like your doctor. Forgive me.

First of all there is no need to apologize....and I do understand you are just trying to help.

I am not particularly happy with Doctors and allopathic medicine. I am very very unlikely to go to a Dr. for this. I am even not sure what they would do for me??

I do agree that my body is crying out for water. Except for the other night.. my lack of sleep has nothing to do with that however... and the other night was more about the extreme exertion.

My current problem has nothing to do with the sweat I did earlier. It generally takes a couple of days.. to maybe a week to recover from them. These are not a macho exercise or anything of that nature. They are powerful, healing, ceremony, and are run traditionally by traditional Elders. They need to be hard enough.. to get you to that "special place" but not so hot that all your prayers are on survival. This is who we are and what we do.

The up coming ceremony I was referring to.. is a biggie. I have had some Doctors think it's nuts, and others say it is not a big deal. I will not get into all of that here..and now.

I generally don't like not doing something because of the weather. If one wants to go snowshoeing.. and it happens to be 20 below zero... so what.. dress for it and go. The same for heat. Generally we don't have a lot of 90's and higher here. The concept of not doing something because it is too hot.. feels strange.

hmm A couple of years ago.. with a planned bike ride.. and temps at around 105... our friends did talk us into going out in their boat instead :D

The cutting of "our" big tree in the worse of the heat.. was not good. There did appear to be outside time pressures to get that done.

Overall I have been doing too much physical activity in the heat. As I said one of my bigger problems is coffee. While most can drink it and not have this problem.. I can't. I am working at getting off it now. 1 cup yesterday.. and I have switched to de-caf today.

good morning.. we are still humid, but have temps in the lower 60's

It is supposed to be drying out today.

They are talking of temps tonight down into the 40's.. someplaces maybe down into the 30's..and tomorrow might not get out of the 60's.

Deck work today... :D

This is a photo of the new deck. I need to finish screwing the deck boards down, and trim the overhanging ends down.. even. I have a 2x8 face going on the front.. and another row of ripped down deck boards to go on the house side.

I will have a little place to sit here. but it will primarily be another workout spot.

I will do lattice under the front also.

I don't really want to close it in.. but I want to be able to put some shade sails over it.. and will need something to fasten them to...

Thanks for the understanding reply, Glenn. It was late and I was cranky, I guess.

Carry on!
