Hello from Wisconsin

Postby drock73 » Mon Jun 21, 2010 10:50 pm

I ran into a member of this forum on my trip to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons. She came up to my wife and I at the crazy horse memorial. She told us to check the forum out.

We had this built this spring and have taken it out on 2 trips already, with 2 more planned this summer. It is a perfect way for my wife and I to travel. It is pretty cool to see all the stares and hear all the comments. It is a great way to meet people.

Having a great time so far.

Welcome,

Very nice trailer. We have only been here since Jan., but have gotten pretty involved. Lots of wonderful people, and yes, a number of people from Wisconsin.

Enjoy the comradery.

:applause: Welcome to the forum, it is full of info and great people. I'm new to it myself and do not yet have a TD, hope to build this fall and winter. Your TD looks pretty neat, where did you have it made  ? Tell us more about it, I'm looking for ideas  Have a great day everyone.

Welcome! Great looking teardrop (especially the wheels) and the Flex is a nice compliment to it.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I wish I could say that the Flex was mine, but it actually is my in-laws. They let us use it for the trip due to the mountains. We normally pull with a civic si. We will be in the market soon for a Jeep Wrangler.

The teardrop is made by TC Teardrops in Wausau WI. The website is www.tcteardrops.com. He did a great job for what I thought was a reasonable price. He is willing to customize to your specs as well. When I was there he was doing a off-road one for a guy.

So as far as mine goes....We are doing the Route 66 theme. We have curtains, pillowcases, bedspread, etc. I am still tinkering with the cabinets to make them look more old-school. I also put a car stereo in the galley. For the floor I did the black and white checkered tile.

Ohhh, and if anyone decides to build with TC Teardrops, please mention my name (Dan Rocca). He gives me $100 for all referrals.

Welcome! I'd love to see your TC Teardrop some time! You should check out the Tearjerkers web site. The St. Croix Chapter (Wisconsin and Minnesota) section has all the gatherings in the local area. Have a great day and hope to see you out there some day.

Hi from just below you (Chicago outskirts)! To clarify, this site is about the trailer. The Tearjerkers site is more about the trips. Although there is a lot of cross over.

Welcome!

Welcome and greetings from Scotland!

Some of the finest people in the world come from Wisconsin, including my wife and inlaws who are from Glendale near Milwaukee.

It's nice to see your cute little tear. Please post lots on your trips and remember that we are all suckers for photographs. ;)
Kind Regards, BigAl.
