Road & Trail-Emergency Box
The RotoPax Road & Trail Emergency box can be purchased with gear inside or you have the option to purchase it empty.
We purchased the box empty, the product in the box from Rotopax was geared toward ATV use.
We selected the following gear for our use, HD Jumper Cables, Triangle Emergency Flashing Strobe Light,
Emergency Flashing Direction Wand Light, Small Hand Held Mag-Light, Gloves,
Orange Reflective Vest, Hot Hands (Hand Warmers) & Disposable Water Bag.
We installed the Rotopax Road & Trail box on the inside of the back tailgate of the Jeep.
Tools/Parts used: (8ea.) 1/4" thread bezel inserts, (4ea.) 1/4" x 3/4" S.S. hex bolts, (4ea.) 1/4" x 1" S.S. hex bolts,
(4ea.) 1/4" S.S. washers, (4ea.) 1/4" S.S. lock washers, (4ea.) 1/4" S.S. Lock Nuts, (1ea.) bezel set tool,
(4ea.) American Standard rubber Aqua Seal top hat washers (Used as box bumpers),
(1ea.) 3/16" drill bit, (1ea.) 13/32" drill bit, (1ea.) Hole Punch
Drilled (8ea.) holes into the back (Inside) tailgate, (4ea.) for the Rotopax bracket, (4ea.) for the Rotopax leveling bumpers.
Used hole punch to mark drill spot, 3/16" bit for starter hole, enlarged hole with 13/32" bit for insert bezels, bezel wrench to set bezels
Rotopax bracket installed with (4ea.) bezels, (4ea.) 1/4" x 3/4" S.S. hex bolts, (4ea.) 1/4" S.S. washers and (4ea.) 1/4" S.S. lock washers
Leveling bumpers installed with (4ea.) bezels, (4ea.) 1/4" x 1" S.S. hex bolts, (4ea.) 1/4" S.S. lock nuts
The bumpers used are the American Standard Aqua Seal faucet gaskets/washers.
The washer fits perfect over the 1/4" hex head of the bolt (Made to fit).
On the bumper bolts 1/4" lock nuts used to adjust and lock down leveling bumpers
