Hand or battery power kitchen tools

I tried to find a hand mixer and wow, they are powered. I wonder if anyone has a source for "real" Manual powered kitchen tools. Like blenders, choppers and such...

Miriam, search for egg beater instead of hand mixer. There's a few to choose from for $15 and under.

I usually carry my battery drill with me ( call me paranoid ) So I also toss in an egg beater and just chuck it up.

OK I gotta try this. Really with all the Dutch Oven cooks here you would think we would have lots of battery powered stuff cause large batches are hard to do with an egg beater. I bet I still have one of those.

The big item that we have is a MOULI rotatary grater. We found ours at an Antique store and Ebay. Yes we have two.

I say there Aunti M try www.Lehmans.com, they are in the wonderful Buckeye state of Ohio. They are the leading NON-ELECTRIC store in the heart of Amish country. As you may know most Amish do not use electric. I say most because there is a New Order Amish that do use electric. Lehman's has been around since 1919. Great store and it is like a museum, many old peices on display. They are located in Kidron, Ohio and ship all over the globe. Check it out.

I know I am boring on the topic of Tupperware, but in my opinion it's one of the all time best American inventions.


We have two of these. One in the trailer and one in the kirchen at home. I trashed the mixer and stick blender I had. This is better, faster and easier to store and clean up afterwards.
