Galveston, Texas October 1,2,3,4-2010; UPDATED 9-17-10

Hello all!!

We are looking forward to meeting everyone at LCG5 as we can not make it to Loyd Park in September and decided we needed just a bit more than that.....so we made reservations at the TPWD site in Galveston, Tx. (Jamaica beach) for October 1, 2, 3, 4 to do some more camping and surf/bay fishing!

They have ample sites available as of 8-12-10 (open or water/electric) and are on the beach (about 75' from the water) They say everything has been re-built (still waiting on 1 pier to be finished by September,2010)

UPDATE: We changed to October 1-4th and only got bay side spot....but if anyone is interested......

One of our SC regulars, Evac-A-Shack, has a house at Crystal Beach (just rebuilt). He wants to have a gathering there sometime during the camping season -- perhaps next year.

You guys ought to put your heads together on that.

Also, SonetPro is a big surf fishing enthusiast.

We had a wonderful time camping out at the State Park in Galveston, Texas this past weekend. We have some new pics for you in our album!

p.s. We ended the trip with a night at Fairfield State park.....BEAUTIFUL !!! Lots of deer & critters walking the woods all the time right around you !
