My minivan is 44 years old. Don't let Lee Iococa(sp?) tell you he invented them. VW did back in 1949 or so.

VW did not invent the mini van, it was the 1936 Scarab, in 1950 VW came out there version after DKW Schnellaster built the first successful mini van in 1949.

Ok, Ok. But it wasn't GM in the 70s.

What about the double/crew cab? VW had those in the 50s.

Thers a guy here local thats hung somewhere in a time warp. He's got a painted up old VW van , flowers, peace signs ,the works. Totally dresses the part too, beads, sandles and all. I think theres a time warp around his house. Wish I had a picture to show you. Cool, but just ain't right.

I love our Odyssey also. It is comfortable.. handles amazingly well.. and is safe. We bought it basically to haul our expensive tandem bicycles out of the weather.

I could care less what others think about it.. :R
