New to Teardrops

Hi, Kathy and Butch here. One of the first things I asked Kathy when we met about a year and a half ago was "Do you like to camp?". When she said "YES!!" I asked her to marry me. We were both into living history re-enacting so we are no stranger to primitive camping. A teardrop sounded like a luxury to us. We plan to build our own TD and have purchased a trailer from Harbor Freight. We talk for hours about design and surf the web for plans. Came across this forum and ideas are buzzin' around in our heads. We have settled pretty much on a 5 wide on a 4 foot trailer. Looking at the square shapes for ease of build. Want something light to pull behind our KIA. (1000# tow capacity). Happy Trails.

Hi Bill and Marijo, thanks for the welcome. Will try and find you on facebook. Been busy finding room to do the build so haven't made much TD progress this week. Florida heat is also playing a roll as it is just too HOT! to work past noon. We think about little else!!!

Welcome to the both of you! I'm also new here, just joined earlier this morning. It's a great site. Good luck on the build and I hope the heat settles down soon. It's really hot here in TN also, but luckily we're having rain to cool things off. Take care!
