Relaxing Around the T&TT Family Campfire (Part Deux)

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Postby Fenlason » Tue Aug 17, 2010 8:00 pm

hmm an interesting ride tonight.. We waited a few minutes for someone having trouble.. and the others got out there ahead of us.. so we started chasing.. and ended up starting off fairly fast.

we did not feel as strong as a couple of weeks ago.. but did ok.. because of the fast start.. our overall average was 23.7.. not to shabby. The last 10 miles felt a lot slower than last time though.

I got used hard also.. About 5 miles from the end.. after pulling most of the 25 miles.. I got attacked hard.. in the middle of a big hill..

I did catch them.. and went back and pulled.. yeah I know.. stupid..

I cramped up.. and they of course went by.. I got them again.. and cramped again.

It was hard knowing we were faster last time.. but still a good ride... :D

we have not gone to pick ours up yet..

We finally picked what we wanted.. then never went.

We are almost up for new phones. Chris and Em's started acting funny some time ago. Just recently my buttons started double and triple dialing. We have to wait til the 29th for our new ones and all the new ones look more complicated than what I want.

The phone would not be for people to reach me easier.. it would be for me to call. If I get in trouble working out in the woods.. or we break down on the motorcycle... that type of thing..

Although most often when we "miss" not having one.. is on the way home from a bike ride or snowshoe.. and we want to pick up food.. it would save us a little time... but as I said.. we have not been motivated to go get one..
are there any decent pay-as -you-go phone plans in your area glenn? Sometimes they work out well for occasional users.

Cell phones are handy to have....and I hate them. I carry mine 24/7, it's always on for work stuff. If I could time travel I would go back and kill Alexander Bell before he invented the phone, and make it look like the phone caused his untimely death to scare people away.... :R
