How Many Have Heard of Him? Especially in New Orleans

Postby Classic Finn » Wed Aug 25, 2010 1:20 pm

How many of you folks have heard of Grandpa Elliot Small from New Orleans or maybe met him there or anywhere else such as L.A.?

Now this is foot stompin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q--UWtR-7x4

Talk about sweet music to the ear..He sings from the soul.. Our entire family loves his voice and character.

Listen to this.. http://www.playingforchange.com/episode ... pa_Elliott.

This is fantastic (In My Opinion) Gets better as the video progresses. And the message it sends is sure true. http://il.youtube.com/watch?v=Us-TVg40E ... re=channel

Check out www.playingforchange.com in general to see what its all about.

Very nice way of bringing the world together via music. Kind of like teardrops have done on this forum as well. Nice.

Too Cool,
I grew up listening to my dad playing his Harmonica. I have alot of memeries of him playing. Wish I had picked up some of his talent.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

Finn,
I've listened to him in the quarter several times, but didn't know his name. He played at a benefit last month that one of the police chaplains put on for the anniversary of Katrina. He is good!
