[color=blue]Cat got her tongue?

After saying "it's just a cat" in response to the uproar over her decision to throw a neighbor's cat into a trash bin, Mary Bale apologized Tuesday for her actions and said she will work with investigators who are looking into the matter.

"I want to take this opportunity to apologize profusely for the upset and distress that my actions have caused," Bale said in a statement.

“I cannot explain why I did this, it is completely out of character and I certainly did not intend to cause any distress to Lola or her owners. It was a split second of misjudgment that has got completely out of control.â€

Lock that woman in the trash bin.. and throw away the key. :x :x Here if anyone would do such or anything cruel to animals they would be in so much trouble with the law and receive good hefty fines.

I wonder if the police guard in front of her house and the death threats have made her re-think her idea of 'funny'. Felony stupid is more like it.

Wow, she deserves to be punished, but by a court of law. Death threats? A bit extreme.

BTW, What was the cat doing outside by itself? Did it slip out the door accidentally, or was it left outside intentionally?

The story says the owners were "looking for it the next day." Huh? Next day?

If the cat was intentionally allowed to be outside unattended, they bear some responsibility, too, IMO.

That Bake/Bale/whatever woman is crazy, and the difference is defined in her actions.

Those who're being held in jails and sanitariums didn't get there for being crazy... they're there for acting that way.

...to paraphrase an idiom of recovery

I would agree, that reaction is extreme. Just wonder how she feels about it. Probably doesn't understand why people are outraged. I doubt she has ever had a pet, no one that has would ever think that was funny.

but then I'm preachin' to the choir here on this subject.

My own personal idea is to do like that Pumpkin Chunkin' contest -- with cats. :twisted:
