sounds complicated to me. I just keep the old stuff until it dies without any fancy stuff, otherwise I'm lost lol

I'm a minimalist type of guy when it comes to programs - I like to have my machine lean and fast - sometimes I have updates and new stuff that i try out - so every now and then - I do a fresh install to get rid of some of the clutter

Mine probably needs something like that. Did a couple of updates last week and things got all weird with it. System restore to the rescue!

going out next weeek - there is a big flea market that opens once a month in our area - it's huge! I'll find about a dozen or so that i'll buy - And i know I've walked past some!

OOohhh, man would I enjoy one like that! At least I'll get to have fun vicariously seeing someone else's find lol! I'm still trying to find a 242. Man is my collection boring.

Gotta watch those 242 with the brass founts - they are prone to stress cracks! the first one I got was from a resale shop for $1.50 - no globe. I didn't know what it was (my early collecting days) but it was the 40's. I stripped it down to the brass and found the cracks. To try and save the lantern I soldered the cracks and it held the pressure - so much so that it sprang a leack in the rusted out bottom plate. I saved what i could and found another 242C

Good to know! I'll still risk it if I can find one though, can't be anything like an AGM.

sounds like a "Coleman Cabana" may be in your future. You have a lot of really sharp stuff that deserves to see the light of day
