Born and raised 50 miles south of Boston. Patriots, of course. Tedy Bruschi was my favorite.
Duke is from Pittsburgh...things get interesting come football season.
Love watching Troy Polamalu as well. As the saying goes, 'Half the world is covered by water...the other half by Troy Polamalu.'
Polamalu also seems like a nice guy. He regularly visits Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. No cameras in tow, just does it because he wants to. My sister-in-law, who lives in Pittsburgh, was staying at Children's with her grandson, who, sadly, was a regular there before he passed away last month. She was carrying Sonny and taking a walk with him when she came face to face (actually face to clavicle) with Troy in a quiet hallway one night. She instantly recognized him, and only said, softly, in her sweet, motherly way, 'for heaven's sake, Troy, be
careful.' Troy smiled and said, just as softly so as not to wake Sonny, 'Yes, Ma'am. I will.'
Go Pats.
