I wish "hermit" was a better paying gig. People can be so taxing.

This is my set up today. I load the long wood in the trailer. The trailer is divided into bays. I can easily cut the wood to the proper length this way. I can also cut many pieces at once. The saw does not get stuck, or hit any rocks or just the ground... and everything is at a comfortable work height.

I then can take wood that needs to be slip, and place it in the splitter.. and once split, toss it into the tractor bucket.. and then drive the tractor to the rack. :D

this is my rack inside the new "garage". you can also see the hand tools hanging on the wall to the left. Not in view above the wood rack, I have to ext. ladders, a step ladder, pole saws and a bull float. :D

thanks.. it's a bit faster with Laurie helping.. but this set up works pretty good.. there is not a lot of extra handling. If I was hauling the wood any distance, I would use the back of the RTV to haul it, but for the short distance.. the bucket works great. When unloading I can place the bucket right where I can reach it.. :D
