Any Thoughts On Pedigree?

I bought this DO back in the mid 1970's but haven't used it much (used to use it mainly for making chili). On the bottom side is is stamped:
8
DO
Made
IN
USA

D

and that's it.

On the underside of the lid it is stamped:

10 1/4

8

No other markings I can find.

I plan to resurrect it for use in my cargo trailer conversion but thought I would toss it out to the CI history buffs here for identification, if possible.

Any help is appreciated.

That looks exactly like my dutch oven. Mine is a Lodge.

Thank you for the feedback. For whatever reason it seemed I bought Lodge back then (as stated on the tag attached to the handle at the time) but I am not sure... memories fade and getting old ain't for sissies!

Although pedigree is nice, like Griswald or Wagner or Lodge, but its the quality that creates the best cooking..... A really nice smooth cast, with lids that fit tight is whats it all about... Or maybe a unusual piece.

I have some really nice no name CI and I have passed up some nice no name CI at flea markets and garage sales only because I have maybe 20 pieces and don't need multiple pieces of same size or quality....

Also Lodge has put out at times CI with no logo and was/is marketed as a more affordable product under some propitiatory product lines like camping provisioners and chain stores........

Pedigree wise, well I was just curious. It is very smoothly cast and has a tight fitting lid. It is a well made piece so was just curious if anyone might have a pedigree on it based on my photos and description. Apparently you don't but I thank you for your comments.

I have the DO I am curious about and a skillet that I won't bother to post. I am not a collector, rather I was hoping to learn more about CI cooking but was still curious about the DO origin simply because I am inquisitive.

Thanks for the input. Not looking for an age since I bought it new in the mid 1970's, rather I am just trying to confirm its manufacture. I recalled Lodge but wasn't certain. Your and Doris's response pretty much confirm my thoughts as to Lodge origin.

While I no longer date women (been married for 35 years) I appreciate and agree with the sentiment... not to mention your excellent humor.
