LCGV Sat afternoon and pot luck......

Postby madjack » Sun Sep 12, 2010 3:46 am

...as all of those "veterans" of previous LCG's know, we do a very laid back gathering...on Sat we have a general open house followed by a pot luck at the party site...#38...anything else wanted, I leave to those who wish to organize it...I assume that dance/wine tasting will happen as usual at spinnernuts site across the road from the party site...along with the usual late nite "fire watch" at the party site itself...afterall, that's why it is called the party site...while the park has always been good about providing firewood, it is not guaranteed or certain so if you can, bring some with ya...remember, awards for Camper's Choice, Farthest Traveled and the Jack P' Lantern conrest will be awarded after the pot luck, so plan on hanging out afterward for the really good times to follow...AAAIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Also on Saturday ... for you newbees .... Gary and I (with a tremendous lot of wonderful help) have breakfast at site #58 for everyone. Starting about 8:30 AM. Homemade Dutch Oven Mountainman casseroles, homemade Dutch Oven Cinnamon Rolls ... homemade waffles ..... Are we getting hungry yet? Trudy

Madjack .... are you taking donations again this year for Friday night?

It seems that Saturday afternoon cocktails have become a tradition , either the 'rita machine or CD's bartending .... hope that happens again this year.

My back is hurting this weekend, so it's hard to think about dancing . But I hope we'll do that again on Saturday night, not sure which site it will be.

Dave & Cindy's Monster Movie theater will be showing a classic film right after dinner.

We could have the movie start at dark thirty (6:00) and the dancing could start about 7:00. We are going to show Monster House - a scary kids movie that is only 90 minutes. Image

Who is doing the wine tasting?
Do we want to have it in the afternoon? or during the movie before the dance?
Do we have cups?
What about the wine?? Last year, we had lots of wine but no drinkers. I had to brave it all myself!!!! :tipsy:

Ok, let me do the wine tasting at the party site at 1pm. :wine:
I'll get the glasses and make a nice table. You bring the wine and a chair.

Then, we can all take a nap before dinner. Not together, of course.:rofl2:

Cigar smokers are also welcome.
Don't drink wine? Have a gingerale!

It's a WINE tasting, not a WHINE tasting.

CD ;)

By the way, MaryK (that rhymes) your favorite uncle in Louisiana could kick the bucket the last week in October. He's pretty old. And, how could you possibly miss his funeral after all he's done for you. Didn't he give you the down payment for your house? The boss has GOT to let you go to the man's funeral.

I'm just sayin.
