Well I took the plunge !

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Postby schreimaster » Thu Jan 05, 2006 7:02 pm

Well i'm glad to say progress is being made, My frame is completed. I built my floor, sealed it with roof and foundation coating, rolled 1 coat length ways and 1 coat width ways. Attached it to the frame the next day, when it was still tackey, I figured it would help seal it to the frame.

I ran alot of my electrical through the floor as I built it.

Once that was finished I decided to put my flooring down, I hate putting sheet goods down and this would be the least trouble. Then I got my sides set up how I wanted them and they are installed.

And that's where I am at this point, it's getting there and I'm having a blast.

Schreimaster,
Very nice! I like the idea of running the wiring thru the floor. I can't plan ahead far enough for anything like that though. The flooring does indeed look very nice. Keep the pics coming.

I like the wire in the floor. Nice wheels too.

Nightmoves44,

Good eye, it is a carnes helmet, no a very old one, I have been wearing it for the last 11 years and it was new when I got it.

Ira, how about some green and orange shag carpeting...it'll go well with a lava lamp........NAHHHHHH....too hard to keep raked. Been there, done that already. I think I'll go with vinyl too. Probably some roll flooring. Got to see what the wife wants to put in. What ever it is, I'll still catch hell for tracking in sand. That's our number one floor problem in Florida.

Well some serious headway has been made over the last few days. I finished getting my ceiling together. I was giong to put panneling in the interior, but after some thinking I decided to go with 3 1/2 X 3/8 pine tung and grove. So with this being said I framed my ceiling a little diffrent.

And then I installed the tung and grove with liquid nails and my brad gun, I have to say I am very pleased with the outcome.

I am going to do the interior walls the same way. All the tung and grove was pre finished in my shop before installins. My fenders are on order and I hope to get the outher skin of the roof installed soon.

Take it greasey.
