Honda 4cyl tranny problem HELP

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Being a mechanic for more than 30 years I would suggest spending the money for a complete check of the car. At 200,000 miles there are many other things that could be on the end of there useful life. If you have followed ALL the recommended maintenance then you have a better chance. No one has a crystal ball but if you have always used the same mechanic, their records will be very helpful in predicting what expenses will be in the future.

Jeannie .... I'm at 196, 000 miles and still running great...well, except that tranny part. This was not a recall issue, just a TSB and they extended current warranties, and that was a little while ago.

My little Honda is in good condition otherwise, and as long as I can get the $2000 for the tranny , then I'll keep it a few more years. As most everybody knows, if it's a Honda it's just broken in !!!!

Thanks everybody.
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!
