Hello from Memphis!

Postby Cyclicpitcher » Tue Sep 28, 2010 7:03 pm

Hi Everyone!

My Grandfather bought a used teardrop when I was a kid and he fixed it up and my grandmother sewed curtains for it. I will never forget the good times we had.

I am new to building a tiny camper. I Just purchased a 4x8 Tractor Supply Frame and have begun to cut it up!

I want to build a canned ham style Bugout Box. My family thinks I am crazy because I already have a 23ft forest River Surveyor in my back yard.

I am looking forward to the build and the challenge of the design. Thanks to all who have posted here on the forums. You have inspired me and your generous sharing of ideas and designs have given me the confidence to begin a lifelong dream.

Welcome from just across the state line. According to the sign coming into town, we are "two miles and a hundred years from Memphis". Looking forward to see your build progress and get the chance to sit around a campfire together.

TinksDad,

Thanks for the welcome! My wife is starting to warm up to the idea of this little camper as I have been working on the floor this week. She really likes our full size camper but when I told her I will have 6ft x 9 ft to do a floorplan in, I could see the spark.

So It seems possible that we may meet up someday at a nearby campsite!

Best Regards!

CP,
Looks like you're off and running. I know Cliff will agree with me, I love it when a plan comes together.
Keep it up, I'll keep watching.
