Welcome to the madness Gabe

but by the two pic's in your Album, you have battled thru quite well

Am I seeing a full entertainment center under your hatch??
looks great with your Galley, hope it is easy to take up or down, doesn't appear your hatch will clear if you need to shut up in a hurry....neat option though, brings a whole new level to movies under the stars.

closing hatch

Postby gabe68 » Wed Sep 29, 2010 2:15 pm

Thanks for the comments . as far as the hatch goes it folds down and closes up easy . It was hard to make . lots of opening and closeing to get it all to fit . used video camera in side as I closed it to get it just right .

Very neat

Now I think I can see it from the photo, the monitor and speakers are hanging from the hatch, via a cross bar thru two bearings, which could be as simple as two eye bolts, large enough for the cross bar to pass thru???

I like it, how do you secure it from swinging during travel?

I probably, won't go this route on a TD build, but turns out to be an elegant but simple solution to mounting a monitor, also easy to remove at most anytime without rebuilding the galley, I like it more every time I look at it.

Welcome, Gabe. Absolutely too cool hatch support/entertainment center set-up. That is a great idea! Just make sure that when the wind lifts the hatch (It will!) you have it secuerd to keep it in place! :applause: :applause:
