I wouldnt mind paying for the showers @ CloudCroft. Dont the have to bring the water in by truck or something?
But here, where water is plentyful ..... it should be included in the camping fee.
I am wondering if BB has changed to pay showers? Guess we will find out in March.

The showers at Lake Murray State Park are pay as you go too, I got a real surprise when I got there last year with no change.

Linda , Rick , Phil and others... I first noticed this too at Lake Murray last weekend... didn't know if it was that particular campground. I had seen a pay shower at Lake Eufaula before but it was an option to a regular cheap shower stall.

I know Texas and maybe other states charge you the overnight elec site fee but then still a DAY use fee! I do NOT like that scam.

Here in Oklahoma .... makes me want to use COE parks more and more. And maybe buy one of those sun showers. I always carry some of those Cottonelle bath wipes in my camper anyway.

At the Guadelupe River campout last year, it was 50c each 3 minutes ... me and a couple of girls took nice leisure although outdoor , mini showers in our bathing suits with the shower nozzle on my water hose.

I'll complain to Oklahoma Parks or Tourism or whoever too.
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

I think BB would have to build new shower houses (which they could stand to do) before they could charge per shower.
hopefully they haven't made that change.
We have thought about buying one of the portable hot water heaters. Might have to think more along that line.
We would share with our friends too.....

Our unit has outside shower with hot/cold both...have everything to make an outside shower house on it just as long as the 7 gal hot water heater keeps going & a water hookup.. BB has been too cold for me to even get partially undressed.....Em went up that year and took a shower in the cold...no heat that year in the shower/bath. She sure can scream loud

It isn't going to help. It's like complaining to the airlines about checked baggage fees, they aren't going away. In these days and times, they are not going to give up a revenue stream if they don't have to.

Anyway, we have got to keep our parks, no matter what.....We really may even have to start volunteering to help and pay higher fees. I know there are a lot of you out there who would volunteer to help out in the showers., right?. Queenie Jeanne

Tom, you might want to check out your Snipe catching bag to make sure that it is real strong. Broken Bow Snipe are reported to not be as fierce looking as those at Lake Bistineau, but running around those Oklahoma hills develops some strong legs. They'll hit that sack with a whop, and if you don't have a strong bag or hold on tight, they'll just keep on going!!!!! :D
Broken Bow Snipe should be running good in late March.

Good to hear of your teardrop progress.
