And They Called It Puppy Love - Photo & Update 6.11.10

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

The most memorable comment I had when Gidget was a puppy was from a New Yorker in an elevator:

"Oh. My. Gawd. Is it real ?!?!?!?"

All puppies are adorable. A litter of Samoyed puppies is magical.

Congrats on the newest addition to your family!

It's remarkable how the moms just know what to do. A friend of mine's had a litter of 11 in July (8 survived). This was her first litter and she was the most attentive mom to her puppies. It was wondrous to behold.

Once the puppies are weaned and become more mobile they become a whole lot more work for the human caretakers.

It is remarkable indeed. Now why is it our very own pup happens to be under moms good care    Probably to look presentable on video? hehe   A little more care is needed for true as they grow but its not bad. When they shed their coat its harvest time for the fur.. nice warm socks for winter ... just great. ;)

Wow an entire basket of Little Woolies. They are so adorable. Now try to have them in the basket again in a few months   :D

Ohh yes a special breed.. Hows Gidg doing? Sure love your gallery of her and your travels. :applause: :applause:

The Gidg is good, thanks for asking.

In a couple weeks we'll be going to the Samoyed Club of America'a National Specialty.

Just spectators communing with 400 of the other fluffies.

They are irrisistible arent they. The above photos are my favorite so far. They have all been taken by the Kennel Owner Ms. Pilvi Uotila. We are just too far to go there at the moment but we are planning another visit before she comes home. Here in our country they are home ready at 8 weeks old. Not before. Laws are real strict about this.

Hey folks new pup coming home next Sunday so I have a question. Do any of you have experience with a lil pup coming home with a 2 year old already in the house? What was the reaction of a new pup coming into the family. Did the older dog react in a good manner or was it protective of the territory in a way or did it go as smoothly as anyone could hope for?

Weve been thinking about this for awhile now. Maybe both will accept one another quickly and keep each other company.. which we are hoping for. Both are females so no conflict there.

Well our lil pup came home on the 1st. Id like for you to meet the Lil Gal "Siru" which means little chip or tiny chip. :) Age 8 weeks. She,s a loving lil gal with a nice temperament and character. Both now play together and the oldest protects her as the pup is her own. :)
