Tiny Cargo trailer conversion...???

Going to clean this one up a bit, see how things work out for it's size... Although being "homemade" and somewhat Ugly , it actually seems pretty well constructed and solid (I was beating on it, kicking tires ) ... I was totally surprised the interior was so nicely done (it's a bit ugly too with the chosen wood ) but a little paint will cover all sins...less for me to do ... here's hoping it's insulated , don't know , will have to check ...
Even if the box doesn't work out , it would make a good lawnmower shed... hahaha Have to get it home for the final and critical inspection ... pull the hubs, check the bearings etc., get underneath ..look around... and we'll see how it tows ... The owner was towing band eqpt. in it with a Honda 4cyl. so it should tow pretty easy with my pickup...
Although a bit small , it was the deal I was looking for ... Cheap !!!

Suspecting it might be heavier than it looks ,that trailer frame is pretty massive for such a little guy... overkill really ... bet that part is Heavy ...

Once we get a better look all around, inside ,out , underneath , we can better formulate a "plan"...

... and it fits in my shed ...

Just curious what make and model of guitar?

I would not trade any of mine for a trailer I have more in them than any of the trailers I have been looking to buy.

I take it that you're not going to finish the inside or outside of your trailer with exotic hardwoods or anything approaching the finish on those guitars, right?

This is Don back from the near dead-land of Bronchitis. I am actually starting to feel like a human being again. In the mean time I have been collecting/accumulating cast iron cookware (skillets, Dutch Ovens, and kettles) for future camping trips (requires little effort and is fun to do when one finds some good vintage stuff).

Post some more photos of your new to you CT and let's get on with the build.

I was hoping to get the bunk beds in our CT done before this weekend (a three day weekend for me) so we could go camping but, alas, it was not to be. The old bod just wasn't up to it this week. But I am feeling much much better today and will take at least one day this weekend to get those bunk beds installed in our CT. We've still got some decent weather ahead of us before the bitter cold sets in so we intend to get at least one or two more camping trips in.

What's that little doohickey on the trailer body just above the frame tongue... heater? Air conditioner?

Got the E-Track installed today in my CT for the upper bunk... glad to accomplish something, finally. Will post some pics in my thread tomorrow.

Looks workable to me; but what do I know. After all, the idea is to get camping. And the price is right for a base for #1; that way you will know what will work and won't for #2.

Since you are from the "remains of New Orleans", adding an AC unit is definitely a good idea. I slept in mine in my daughters back yard in New Orleans in June, and without AC it was brutal!! (It was for her wedding and my "ex" was occupying the spare bedroom.)

The plan was for a small AC Somewhere!!!... Since I won't have a battery or propane , there's no need for a tongue box ... Thought that would be a good place for the AC with a protective hard cover for traveling and storage ... All the rest of my junk can go in the back of my pickup ..

Actually this is #3 for me ... so far ... Even my wife's started to notice my obsession with tiny trailers ... May have to go to "meetings"...
Psssst !!!... still have an unused boat trailer in the yard waiting too ...

Thinking this Tiny CT is as small as you could go and still be practical ... Slightly bigger than a standard TD ... Gotta' keep it ultra Simple ... Should be Nothing to tow compared to the 20' TT ...
