Hello from Manila, Philippines. This is a great Teardrop and Tiny Travel Trailer site you guys have. There's so much information available and it looks like everyone here really enjoys using and/or building their Teardrops.
I have been looking at Teardrop Trailers for some time and it was only recently that I actually checked out your wonderful website. I like building things with my hands so I thought that it would be neat to build myself a cute Teardrop. I have been working on a 12ft plywood sailboat and learned some carpentry skills along the way. It's not quite done yet as I only get to work on it during my free time.
After looking at many TD internet sites, I invested in the Kuffel Creek Plans and the Big Woody Campers Plans to learn more about the process of building a TD. At first I thought that the Kuffel Creek Plans were not very good, especially after getting hold of the Big Woody Camper plans but it is actually good to have too. The two sets of plans complement each other very well.
I hope to finish my sailboat in a months time so I can work on my first TD. I have a 4x8 EZ-Trailer (Red Trailer) which I purchased for my boat which I plan to use also for the TD. The Teardrop will have to be a bolt on - bolt off design so I can use the trailer for my boats or for the TD.
God bless!
Louie
