WOOHOOOO!!!!! first miner is on the surface!!!, two rescuers went in, they expect the total time for the rescue not to exceed 48 hours....Impossible rescue made possible....I am almost crying of happiness....historical rescue.

They have bee trapped for 69 days at 700 meters deep ( 2100 feet) in a collapsed mine.

Watching it live on Night Line. It is such a Miracle that these men are all alive.

And lets give a Big Thumbs up to the USA team that drilled the rescue shaft - the NASA people and to all the medical personnel that are part of this historic rescue.

JOB WELL DONE!

Three Christians were among the trapped miners in the beginning of this ordeal, but 5 Christians were rescued!

Jimmy Sanchez, one of the 33 Chilean miners who have been trapped for over two months in the San Jose copper-gold mine in the Atacama Desert, would like to make one small correction to all the stories about life in the mine:
“There are actually 34 of us,â€
