Madjack.

Don't think there is that great of a weight diffrence. I posted it was 3/8, but its less than that, 5/16 and I don't think it would be much more, if any than a sheet of panneling.

:o Oh Oh... I think I saw something that bothers me. When you put the wires in the floor, you notched the boards. Then you covered them with linoleum(sheet flooring). Did you fill the notches?, because if not the flooring is going to sink and possibly crack in time. Just my opinion, and I've been known to be wrong before.... as my wife repeatedly points out..... :lol:

I only notched the spacer boards for the insulation, then it was all covered with a sheet of 1/2 inch plywood. so the only notches that are not covered are where the wires come up into the cabin in the forward compartment.

I bought a 5 by 8 roll carpet from Wal-Mart in the color I wanted for $19.99. Gotta trim it, which will be fun, but I'll be using molding anyway when I screw it up.

I'm not using a mattress; I'll be using roll-up vinyl cushion pads that store out of the way when I'm not sleeping. At only 4 wide by 6 long in there, I want to take advantage of the space, if necessary, when I'm NOT sleeping.

And since me and the whole family are shrimps, no problem.

Put the carpet face down and mark the cuts on the back with a sharpie marker. Then, cut on the back on the lines with a sharp utility knife. It may not cut all the way through the fibers, but you can turn it over and finish cutting the fibers with scissors and it will be a fairly neat cut. Molding will hide any ragged edges.

Well ladies here are the latest phots of what been happening with my build.

Fenders came and they are installed/fitted.

I have installed my a/c unit in the rear wall, needed something to catch the cindensation so I cut this cookie sheet in, I will be adding a drain line to it.

The final electrical got cut in for the cabin wall, I'm very happy with that.

And since I got the fenders fitted, I was able to finish the tung and grove instalation.
We found out there is a get otgether in Key west in March, so that's the goal, finish in time to make that.
