My newest CI skillets

Postby TLC » Thu Oct 14, 2010 8:14 am

I recently bought (2) CI skillets at a local Goodwill store for $6.00 each. A #8 Wagner and a #3 Griswold, both are in beautiful condition. I'll use them all winter in the house and then put them in the trailer next spring.

Boy, Tom I am really worried about all that weight in your trailer. Just to be safe you should give them to me for safe keeping.

Good deal Tom!... But I expected to see them sitting on an old Coleman single burner stove. That #3 is perfect for fried egg "sammiches"

Thanks for your concern Dawn, but I think I'll risk it, and try hauling them first before giving them away. Did you ever get that 200A working correctly?

Steve, I had the same idea when I seen the #3.......perfect size egg pan. Have you found any one lunger stoves yet? I haven't seen any up here in months. But then again, how many does one need? I got 6 so far.

All that talk about food made me hungry too.

Positive vote for the #3! :applause: We like the 'less is more' approach and with only 2 of us, it makes cooking/frying simpler. Good find.

Hey Tom....no more stoves yet but my wife brought me 4 frying pans from a sale she was at today. Just need to figure out who made them.

That's not fair, two people against one. Are you trying to corner the market? I've got so much cast iron now, I could use a different one every day of the week. I'm going to give most of them to my daughter next time she visits. She loves cooking in cast iron.
