Do SKUNKS make noise like a chatter

Skunks make a high chirping chatter. Sorry Cajun Lady, I've had plenty of experience.

I'm very happy to say I've never had that experience!

My face to face experience with these critters...

Possoms kinda growl and hiss when they open their long jaw and show you their big trap of teeth, with a bit of a delayed reaction. (Only wearing my Jockey shorts)

Skunks growl while gnashing their teeth when they're pissed. (Fully clothed)

Word to the wise... Don't try to drown a trapped skunk in a 300 gallon kids wading pool... Unless you want 300 gallons of skunk spray.

Coons growl too, but do chirp when they get excited. (Just Jockey's, but armed with a broom)

I walked into a couple of baby skunks in the parking lot at work. I didn't get sprayed. We called this researcher from the university and he came an picked up momma and all the babies and relocated them.
He is in this Nature special. Maybe you can hear what they sound like.
