LCG5 Caravans...

Postby caseydog » Wed Oct 20, 2010 1:54 pm

Who's going when and from where?

Anyone want to join up in Teardrop Caravans?

I am reserved for Thursday through Monday, but may not go until Friday.

I've paid for Thursday night too so I'm Still leaning toward leaving on Thursday. But if we do it would not be until around 5:00 and traffic could be a mess. Won't know for sure until next week.

I plan to start out Wednesday night from Corpus, up thru B/CS, then north to a Walmart (somewhere) to sleep.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

B/CS???

There are plenty of driveways here in DFW you can camp in for a night.

Is Cindi riding with you. I heard she might have to fly to Shreveport after work Friday.

Are you going to work a full day on Thursday?

Guess that reference is an Aggie thang. Bryan/College Station.
The driveway offer is generous but a little too far if I get out of CC (that's Corpus Christi) by six. Besides, the "people of Walmart" usually don't emerge until after midnight, and who would want to miss that show.

Cindi is taking a personal day on Friday. I'm taking off from work at noon on Thursday. I'm hoping she can get off work around 4 and if so we can leave shortly thereafter. Of course, we still may leave early Friday also. Still up in the air.

We're leaving Mt. Pleasant on Thursday 9:00 am via 59 South to Marshall then I- 20 to Shreveport. For all you newcomers from the west - when you get to Shreveport - take the 1-220 loop by pass. The lanes narrow on I-20 through Shreveport and Bossier City. Your GPS might tell you it's the quicker route - but believe me - it's scarier when your pulling a rig behind you and the road tends to be a little rough. Most of the ole timers know this - sure would hate for some eggs to git' scrambled being so close
