Newbie from Topeka Kansas

We have been looking forward to your Louisiana get together for some time, but I have not had any luck getting a spot at Lake Bistineau, I am coming anyway, if nothing opens up I will drive through slow, waving to all and head on down to Breaux Bridge.

I am kinda new to teardrop gatherings, but not new to Louisiana. I wandered into Breaux Bridge, thirty-forty years ago, and go back every chance I get. The food!!!!!! and they have more fun dancin' down on the Bridge end of town on any Saturday morning, than Topeka, Kansas has in a year of Saturday nights.

I have been working on my Road Rocket since 2005, I pulled it (unfinished) to two meets last year( 2009 ).

I usually pull with my 1969 SAAB “96â€

I think you stopped by with your Saab at our Crawford meet in 2009. Your tear looks great!

Wonderful, and beautiful.....we've been looking at sites for Kansas gatherings too. Plus Crawford of course we will never give that up.......no place like it so far....makes it very special.

We gave up site 64 at LCGV.......there is always the overflow....glad you get to go.

Dean, I bought a Coleman $20 bag just to protect your beautiful Lantern, I take it to bed with me every night and I hang it by my Road Rocket every morning. I want to light it when I get to Lake Bistineau LCG 5, somebody there will know how.

Thanks for all you and Joane did to put on IRG 3, it was outstanding, I am ready now for 2012 IRG 4.....

Yes, I saw my first live teardrops at Crawford Lake in the fall of 2008, I needed the inspiration to finish enough to pull to Minden, NE spring of 2009

I will call Monday morning for 64

We are heading out in the morning, and going to have a catfish lunch at LAMBERT'S and maybe Chicken Mary's for supper. Should make the Lake, Wednesday.
Are you going to make it, only about 2,000 miles each way???

I sure met a bunch of nice people out there, my wife wishes she could have came along, I tell her so much about the great people that were there. Little five year old Katie was my pick for camp sweetheart....
