Jeff, I wanted to attend this year but things just didn't work out. Working less - making less so that put a big crimp on extra $$.

I am going to try real hard to save for next year. MaryK wants to plan a trip next year too so we are "planning" to make it.

We'll hold you to that, it's just not right without MaryK here too.

My cute little porch set up yesterday.

I think I'm going to run a set of rope lights under it to see what that looks like at night.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am installing a rope light under it right now. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

When you first started building that deck, I thought, where the heck is she going to use that?...on the tongue? Now that I see it in place, everything just fits right. Sa-weet! Ya done good! The solar lights idea was very clever, too.

Thanks Glenn, Larwyn ans Sharon! I sure am enjoying adding some personal touches to my camper.

Here are some photos of what I did last night to the porch:

Cut a hole for the rope and cord to enter.

Added some lightweight "C" clamps to hold the rope light in place.

All clamped up.

Looking good so far.

This might turn out pretty good.

And this is what it looks like when you walk up to my camper door. Not bad.

Since I don't have an outdoor porch light I wanted to make sure that no one stumbled or tripped over the porch when entering so this was my solution.

I also spray painted the coupling that holds up the solar landscape lights. Looks much better.

On a funny note, it sounds like a squirrel war outside - acorns are hitting the shed like gun fire right now. Squirrels will have lots of winter food for sure!

Awesome!!!!! I really like the effect given by placing the rope lights under the porch. Also the idea of placing them centered on the slats and not between. congratulations!
