Hi everyone - been looking on this site for a few months now and I'm totally hooked on teardrop campers! These are very cool. I've been considering building my own, but before I do I'd really like to see one in person. So if anyone in the Louisiana area has one they'd allow me to see I'd be grateful.

Randy welcome to the madness! This weekend I believe is the big gathering in your state. Check the post for LCG and you'll see the info, I'm sure they would let come over and look and meet some of the bunch.

Hi Randy.

I sent a PM about our gathering in Prairieville, south of Baton Rouge. We'll have quite a few TDs & Tiny Trailers here.

Hi Mike.

Don't think I got the PM. Still learning how to use the site. I didn't see a gathering listed in Prairieville, but saw the one listed for this weekend at Lake Bistineau in north LA.

Hi Randy, Welcome to this crazy little world of small trailers. You can go to top of this page and click on TearJerkers then go to Cajun Chapter for all the information for the camp out. There will be old,new and halfway built trailers to look at. Hope to see you at camp out. :)

Thanks for the welcome Lester. I haven't looked yet at the Tearjerkers section, but have seen the listing for the Prairieville gathering in November. I do plan to be there, if only for the day. I just got home from my day trip up to Lake Bisteneau's gathering. Very friendly group of people and very nice to meet everyone. Really enjoyed chatting Teardrops with everyone. Look forward to meeting more Teardroppers!

Hey Randy,
I grew up in Lafayette and still have family there. I went to Montgomery, LJ Alleman but went to HS in Starks over by Sulphur. Did you grow up there too? The s in rcs isn't Scarbrough is it?
I'm the Mountaineers of West Virginia TearJerkers chapter director. Brian n Stacy n Mike work hard for the Cajun Chapter and are good people. Brian does most of the artwork for TearJerkers. I wish I could be closer to make their gathering. I need to make it home soon.
Hey, do you know any Goudeaux's that have Gerald's Amusements? They provide pooltables, jukeboxes and pinball machines throughout La.
Very old friends of mine.
