Well...we were going to head to Yosemite this weekend...celebrating our 25th anniversary...but what with 60-90% chance of rain...we opted to stay home and finish up some projects. I found some plow disks this summer at a yard sale and we've been working on a DO stand inspired by Joanne's here
Finally, finished it and tried it out on the back patio!! I really like how we can unscrew the legs and the windscreen for traveling...but it's so sturdy!

And tonite's dinner...though it would have tasted better in Yosemite!! Chicken Pot Pie!

Very nice! Be careful though, those legs are easy to get tangled up in, and you don't want a disc full of hot coals and hot liquid coming down on you!

Woke up to rain this morning and we are only a few miles west of Yosemite, but I might drive up to your house for a meal if you keep posting those tempting DO dishes....

Thanks for the concern Cliff! The picture distorts it a tad...the legs aren't quite as wide as they appear...and are squared across the front for easy access.

I am sooo...jealous! Yosemite is one of my favorite places! Try to make it at least a couple times per yer...Fall is one of the best times to visit, so I'm sad we missed it! But you're welcome in our driveway anytime!

If you need some I have about 3o in my driveway now. Made about 20 of the great Joanne stands for a boy scout fund raiser. Come by and get one or two I live in West Tenn.

We city boys are collecting the tossed out satelite dishs the round ones are excellent almost exactly the same size and concave just a bit lighter and without a mounting hole to weld shut.

I picked up a oval shaped triple pickup one over the weekend anxious to see if the geometry works as a dutch oven stand.

Well Monday I found the legs for the satelite dish above. An aluminum walker at Goodwill. $5.99. Gotta wait till Wednesday for old farts day and it will be $4.19 plus tax. (30% seniors discount)

The walker measures 20" across and the oval dish is 26" and it will work great. Walker even has low cross bars that will hold a removable shelf. Dish and shelf will clip off and on and the walker folds up so the entire unit will be easy to transport.

In Phoenix, Old Fart's Day is Tuesday, and our Goodwill stores don't charge sales tax!
