 I've been buildin' this:

BUT...I found a deal on Craigslist for brand new trailer tires and wheels from a fellow who gave up on his flatbed trailer project. So last night I met the seller in the Target parking lot. Money, new tires and new black wheels traded hands (and pick up trucks).

The FEATHERLITE is getting new rims and tires in a few days. :D

Thanks for your reply.
I decided to leave the metal sides on because uf the extra time it would take to cut them off also i decided it would strengthen the trailer to just leave them as they were.It was not hard to work around them anyways.
I like your featherlite trailer,The box idea i am putting on my back door is from yours on the featherlite. Some day i hope to convert a featherlitetrailer, but for now we are happy with this one, just need to finnish so we can start camping.

Derrick,

Camping! That's it.

As for RVs: "Love what you've got / love the one you're with."

Confession: Early this month, when it was still warm, I took off on a 3-day camping trip to the Sacramento River and the beaches of northern California. I only took my truck and slept in the bed under the topper.

It was fun!

That is good my wife said we should just go even if it is no totally done.We actually did sleep one night in the trailer at home to try out an air mattress we had gotten which turned out to be a miserable mattress to sleep on :x Got to find a better one.

Air mattresses are the worst in my experience. They aren't insulated against the cold unless you put a memory foam topper on them.

Also, one pin hole and you've got no bed.

I'm going to experiment with my next futon. I'm going to start with a futon mattress zippered cover and lay multiple layers of fleece and/or acrylic blankets in it. Next, a 2" piece of memory foam. Zip it up. Memory foam on top of the stack inside the cover.
