Hammerite Direst To Rust Metal Paint test

I do a lot of electrolosys to rusty metal. Mostly fuel tanks for motorcycles, but I've done wheels before, and I know a guy who did his whole truck frame in a disused swimming pool.

It takes some time, but the finished product is amazing, and it doesn't take any harmful or difficult to get chemicals (unless you're in a desert drought, then you might be hosed without a deep well or shipped in water)...

If it were me, I'd dunk those for a couple weeks in a bukkit of washing soda with my battery charger on, then paint 'em up.

Cheers,

they've already been stripped & painted. "we" are now officially "watch paint turn to rust", which, so I've been reliably informed is less tedious than watching it dry.

so far other than the occasional failure due to chips, is fading from exposure to UV light from the sun.

Just two more years. The anticipation is killing me

based on current performance, that seems a little optimistic. As I'm hoping to let this test go on for as long as possible. I strongly that you do not try holding your breath waiting
