Good Morning from California.
Well I have been lurking for a little while now and thought that it would be a good time to both introduce myself and start a build log on the trailer.
I am a auto mechanic (presently out of work) that lives in the Sacramento area. I have been hanging in the background of this site for several months now and just gathering information and ideas. I love some of the builds that I hae seen and hope to throw some other ideas out there as well.
This is a not very good photo of me bending some tubing for the trailer.

The trailer is a all steel frame work construction using NO prebuilt trailer frame or suspension. The design of the trailer is more of a raindrop then a tear drop and all the shapes were determined by the windows that I was able to get. Everything is constrained by the thought of keeping the cost down as low as possible, therefore most of the windows came out of wrecking yards and conversion vans. The only peoblem is, the windows have a curved shape to them.
But all that will become clear when I start the build log.
For now, I just wanted to drop by and introduce myself and thank everyone for their ideas, passion, and love for these trailers.
I think that I am really going to like it when it is down.
Cheers
Vince
