thanks everyone, the surgery went well. Even the post surgery pain is already less than the nerve pain was so i am optimistic. and don't worry, no pictures, it is ugly enough in real life, pics always look worse!

On Sept 3 of this year, a rescue dog bit off the tip of my middle finger down to the joint. Luckily no infection.. but typing is difficult... not much discomfort but keep missing the 'i' key on the key board.

And no one takes me seriously when I 'flip them the bird'.

Hope you come out as good as you can.

Happy to hear that your surgery went well. Sounds like all the signs for a good outcome are there. Hope to see you at the Dam Gathering in the Spring and we can share a few stories. :D

That's the toughest weight loss program I've ever heard of!

You have a good story to share around the camp fire!

Doing MUCH better. I got the splint removed several days ago, and immediately noticed a difference. The constant nerve pain is GONE, is still have the post-op pain, of course, but I can already tell it is much improved. The surgeon removed 1 cm of nerve on each side, and as we thought, it was actually touching the skin right underneath, so that is why it was so painful. Night and day difference. So now it is just healing time, but it should be much faster than the original injury. He reshaped my thumb too, so it looks more like a short thumb without a nail, rather than a cut off stump. I can deal with this~! Thanks for asking!

Arnie: You've put a cute, positive slant on the portion of your lost middle finger and turned your scar into a star! :applause:
