It is nice to know that I am not the only one who messes up on my spelling.
My father was a Publisher and spelling was big to him too. However They did not teach me very well in 1st grade the basics. But you in time learn and then as my father found out as you get older you unlearn.
A friend who is a desktop pulisher was also conserned. he gave me a spell checker for my computer however it is on my portable not my desktop so only when I am on the road can I check my spelling.

It would be nice if this site offered a spell checker or does anyone know of a site I can copy say this set of words onto spell check it and paste it back right assuming it realizes that some words my not look or sound like the one it offers. Phonetics are largely where I am at. I can spell the big ones but mess up on the basics.

I welcome corrections I was once told my writing is like reading a Charlie Brown cartoon. And with that I am happy.

I use the google toolbar app that works with your browser - it checks your spelling while in the posting window  No cut and paste

? I am confused, I automatically get spell check when I type in the posting window, I don't have Goggle toolbar that I know of! Is this just something special the gods have provided for me, knowing how badly I spell? The red squiggly underline doesn't happen for everyone? Or are folks just unaware what that means?

Also, on the word shape thing, I learned that when taking sign language classes. When fingerspelling a word, getting the first letter is very important, the rest, not so much. People really want to read the fingerspelling letter by letter, but it is much more effective to just get the idea of what the letters were, the shape, so to speak, and put it in context. You didn't even need to see the actual letter, or even word. Folks can understand sign language even when signed with only one hand because of context and hand shape.

Heard something on tv and got me wondering about the correct usage of the word, "twins". The line was "two twin sisters." If there are two twins is there then 4 people(same applies to "a pair of twins), and also is the word "sisters" really necessary? If they are both female and twins it should be readily apparent that they are sisters.
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.

The use of the word "two" is redundant.
