I've built in some temporary drawers right by our doors. I welded some angle steel width wise and we can slide rubbermaid bins into the slots. The bins hold our shoes and other "outdoor" items that we don't want to sleep with.

Hi Slowcowboy
You might want to rethink putting it in the back of the tear. I think that will cause you you drag if it is a very deep drawer. I think they call it angle of approach. And seeing you go off the road some, I would use your tongue jack to raise the front to see what kind of clearance you have in the back.
I didn't hook to the frame. I through bolted to the floor. I have storage under the bed. Each drawer is around 2 foot long. Was thinking about making just one long one going across the trailer but though two would be easier.
I used marine plywood for the box, they are 6" deep. The front board is just a 1x8, some day to be a piece of diamond plate to match the front storage box.
I don't know what they are called, but the studs have wood screw treads on one end and bolt threads on the other. I use them a lot on the decks I build.
Some folks put hot tubs on them and I use these to put a tarp around them so they can use them in the winter time.
The one thing I plan on changing is to make them a little deeper. With them being in the center of the tear, I made them just a little higher than my spear tire. I have watch them when we go out to a farm we camp at. The trail back to the lake is pretty bad, but I stopped and look when I was going though the worst area and had plenty of room.

Just saw your last post. ha
They were 24" slides. Worked good. They let the drawer open full length.
On the drivers side I keep all my cords and electrical stuff, and some other junk. On the passenger side I keep the tools, saw, small shovel, camp axe and fuel for my lanterns, rope, tarp clamps, stakes, bug spray and some other junk. It sure beats lifting the mattress to get to stuff I use a lot. Under the bed I keep stuff I don't use every time we camp. I have a small tent and air bed, two sleeping bags, so when my boys come out to see us they can stay over night if they want. Also some extra blankets, and other junk we don't use, ha. If I took out all the stuff I take that we never use I could take more toys to play with. and up my gas milage too.

SC
This was made out of just plan old lumber you can get any where.
Looked at your album, nice looking tear. It looks like you have a lot of ground clearance. I would make two drawers up front, looks like you have the room. I don't think it would add to much weight to your tongue.
As for the back, make one that will fit your stove, and a smaller one next to it for the little kitchen stuff. Also on the drawer for your stove, you could make a platform to sit the stove on to raise it up some. With the new drawer slides, they hold a lot of weight. Just push the drawer in and set your stove there.
Wish I had that ground clearance, I could take more lanterns. ;)
Hope you have a heated barn to work in, it is that time of year again, snow!!
But it looks like you all have had your share already.
