And I know it is a Arthur Sherman (Covered Wagon) design but not sure if it is a Covered Wagon. Covered Wagon moved there door to the side in 1935 and made them taller in 1935. It does have a original Model A tail light. It is 12' body x 5'3" interior height.
here is some pictures of it,

Congratulations!

Looks like a fun project.

That is a kewl old unit Eddie, nice that it's now in the hands of someone who can do it justice. Congrats

Lot of work but it looks like the critical pieces like the end roof caps and galley framework is all there. Love that drop floor in the back.

The end caps are steel where as the rest is CLAD 24S-T AN-A-13. the frame is steel, I think that is why they could not destroy it.

I can't put enough emphasis on the word COOL! It's not going to be an easy restoration, but it'll no doubt be fabulous when it's done. Heck, it's pretty durned neat as it sits right now!

Hope you can find some ID markings on it. As far as I've read, the true Covered Wagon's used steel and not aluminum.

Either way; it's a neat piece of history. Thanks for saving it

You should get ahold of Benny to have him help clean it up. Take that Sharpie away from him first!!

Nice piece of history. Post pix as you work on it!

After cleaning out this trailer and removing the paneling inside, I have found only a penny from 1969 and a bank statement in a envelope dated 1983 that was sent from North Carolina to Alabama to New Mexico. I did find a Vin # stamped on the Tung of the trailer so I contacted North Carolina, New Mexico and Alabama DMV and so far North Carolina and New Mexico have no record of that Vin #. I also found I believe the guy the bank statement is from and I will call him today, he lives not far from where I picked up the trailer, he lives in Placitas, NM 37 miles from Edgewood. Does anyone know whose state Vin # starts with DP and ends with T.

Not sure about other states, but in Wyoming , the VIN files are purged periodically. After a vehicle is not registered for a number of years the VIN is eliminated from files. :( Will
