New year's Eve party

Postby starleen2 » Mon Nov 29, 2010 6:48 pm

OK – you North and East Texans – it’s that time again – NEW YEARS EVE celebrations! :P Last year we inaugurated the new year with something new – we met at a teardropper’s home with our rigs in tow and celebrated the new year eve festivities – then retired for the night in our teardrops – that way the host doesn’t have a lot of people all over the floor ( but That’s another story) and you don’t have to drive home. The though is that we meet at someone’s home each year. Last year we met at Caseydog’s place. This year we are meeting at our place – we have a huge backyard and can fit at least seven teardrops in the fenced in area. We don’t have a HOA either – so we can park in the street if necessary for a few more. I plan on bringing out the grill and we have a fire pit for the evening – It’s a BYOB event. :ok: Ya’ ready?? :shake hands: Mark your calendars for December 31 New years Eve

Wow looks more like a crime scene! I'm in! Sounds like a good ole time! three campouts in one month?
:awesome:
Hopefully by this time next year, I will have my land and we can do it at my place, we'll see how everything pans out.

I'm in. Free camping is well within my budget. I can syphon gas out of my neighbor's Suburban -- again. He thinks 6 MPG is normal since he bought it, shortly after moving in next to me.

Sounds like a party ! Of course, I don't have a teardrop to camp in and don't know what my schedule will be like. I do have vacation time I can take from job #1 and am about sick of job #2 but can't afford to quit ... yet. I don't know if I can get off work from there.

I'll have to wait and see .... remember, whatever you do at midnight is what you'll do the rest of the year!

BTW, the fact that the host is a preacher should not deter anyone from coming. He's Methodist, so we can get drunk and stupid just like at any other SC gathering. And, we'll have someone to put in a good word for us with the big guy the next day.

If he were Lutheran, like me, he'd be drunk with us.
