Silver Beatle - She's now with an old friend!

:worship: After wondering if I wired all those lights correctly, I hooked the Silver Beatle up to the mother ship for the first time and...

Success! The running, turn, and stop lights all worked. What a relief!

So, I then took her around the block. First time she's been under power. The SB pulled like a dream.

My motivation to finish is now in high gear! Take care.

Way to go Tom!! She looks great (even with the plastic covering, What's with that?). I know; you do not want to dazzle us with your brilliance...but the cat is out of the bag...brilliant job...and so is the owner.

Looks great Tom. What kind of finish is your aluminum? Is it a high polish?

Tom,
She's looking great! The fenders really make it IMO. Any idea of the finished weight? Are you going to add graphics or a stripe to the sides, or leave them plain?

Truly a beauty! I am pleased with the tow vehicle as well. It is a top five consideration for me in the future.

Maiden Voyage = DONE! ! ! We need to have a peeling party when you are ready to pull the rest of the wrapping off! That's a pretty nice Christmas present you get to unwrap!

Thanks for the motivating comments y'all. They have kept me persevering on my build (now in month #25).

Rod, when I work in the garage, I look like something out of Monty Python or the Three Stooges. I'm always tripping over something, knocking one thing into another, etc. I've kept the plastic on the aluminum to minimize the number of dings and scratched from my frequent "oops" moments.

Julie, I bought my aluminum from a sign shop. I think they called it a "bright, mirror" finish. In reality, it is pretty reflective, but there is somewhat of a haze to it. (I think that is from the anodizing. Hopefully, with the anodized finish, I shouldn't have to worry about polishing it.)

Take care, Tom

Oh, MAN does she look great!!! While I understand why the protective plastic is on...there is no way I could have such self control!!! Your build motivates me to keep in the hunt too. Thank you Tom for the progress pictures!!!

Cheers, Dave
