I remember seeing some where that one of our members made custom awnings. HELP! I need one for my Tear. Nothing fancy just something to keep my out of the rain. preferably outdura or a similar fabric that will last for a very long time.
Thanks! Jason

This is who made Doug's awning. We had another lady too, but I can't remember her name. At one point we had a thread where they were both in it talking up what they do and how they do it with awnings.
She did a quality awning for my standie Scotty and I hope to order something for my tear next.
I even shipped the awning back and Marti added corner tabs for diagonal poles. Made all the difference especially with the kids in and out of the camper so much.
This was . . . well, an interesting thread in the past. Kristi Foster also makes very nice custom awnings. Let's just say we had two talented crafters come along at the same time and she is also very worthy to investigate.
Love my Marti awning! got it last summer and am very glad I did. Worth every penny. Added the poles inside like Doug, to make it not sag in the middle, and it doesn't even need stakes if there is no wind.
As Oasis Maker said, Kristi Foster is still making awnings, she lives in the Georgia too and shipping might be cheaper for you. I don't have personal knowledge, but she appears to be making a quality product as well. Her website is here:

Doug's simple solution was a big time score, I remember when he came up with that. All I could ever think of prior when seeing vintage awnings was, looks great, but it's a bathtub with the first rain. Well done by the master.
