New guy from PDX

Hello All,
I am currently living in Portland, OR, nice place, and I am going to build a copy of the 14' Canned Ham in the Vintage plans section. Right size, very retro cool, and cost of plans were affordable.
However there is a dark side to this project, I can't and will not do things normal. I need a Spartan, relatively inexpensive shell as a portable live work space.
My training or as I call it expensive hobby is Ukuleles, I build them, and really expensive boxes.
So I will be asking some questions as this progresses, or
