HELP with Brackets

Postby Frank » Sun Jan 22, 2006 4:21 am

I am trying to find some brackets that I've seen on the sides of a couple of tears. The one on the tear is a flat square piece of stainless about 3"x4" with a slot cut into it. The slot itself is pulled out from the rest of the bracket to allow a "tounge" to slide into it from the second piece of flat stainless that is attached to something you want to temporay attach to the trailer. Like a table, or something.

I've looked and looked, anyone know what it is and where to purchase it?

Thanks,

Frank

Coop,

These are even better, yes they are not stainless, but I was going to use them inside, so doesn't matter.

Thanks for the information.

I'll second that comment. Lee Valley is my favorite out of about 15 different catalogs I routinely receive. Great tools, great gadgets. But big $ :? They also make their own line of tools and gadgets under the Lee Valley Veratis name. Man, are some of them fabulous! :applause: I highly recommend their entire list of catalogs, as Madjack mentioned.

Hey Chris!

I'm telling Frank that prices are good!

What do you think Lee has that is pricey?

Must be their sweet hand planes! :applause:

When you compare them to the likes of Lie-Neilson the ones from Lee are a BARGIN!

Cheers,

Coop

Goldcoop,

Over all, I believe Lee Valley to be the priciest of the catalogs I receive. (guess I should qualify that this is only my opinion) That being said, I think they have the single best collection of really good items in one catalog. And, despite my opinion, they are still my favorite catalog and one from which I often order tools and accessories for my wood working business.

Chris-

I'm not argumentive! I'm not, not, not, NOT!

Just curious, maybe I've been paying too much!:x:

Who do you consider bargains other then say, HF?

Much of what I buy from Lee is specialty hardware...

I consider them a good source for that sort of thing...;)

Cheers,

Coop

Goldcoop,

I'm on my way out the door right now. I'll get back to you with a list. But it's probably a list of catalogs you presently have access to. I don't always get the best price from just one catalog................that's why I get so many!

Okay Coop, here goes:

www.leevalley.com
www.garrettwade.com
www.rockler.com
www.McFeelys.com
www.highlandhardware.com
www.woodworker.com
www.japanwoodworker.com
www.woodturnerscatalog.com
www.eagle-america.com
http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html/10 ... ode=228013
www.sandingcatalog.com
www.hartvilletool.com

This list is just the ones I most often find myself purchasing tools and accessories from. One never knows which one of these catalogs is lowest priced at any given month. I shop them all. I just saved 15% on a $150 item at Amazon Tool this past month. (15% less than any other catalog) Yet they aren't always the lowest.

Hope this helps you................and anyone else who might not be familiar with this list. Pull out your wallet and have fun.
